From Moms to Business Owners
In 2019, three local moms — Michelle, Jessica and Jackie — set out to create something special for families on Long Island. Inspired by our own children, we wanted a safe, clean, and fun indoor playground where kids could play freely and parents could relax.

We opened our doors to the public!
After months of planning (and a few late nights with our kids as “testers”), we proudly opened Planet Play in May 2021. From day one, our mission has been simple: to bring families together through play, parties, and unforgettable memories.
Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at our journey
It started with demolition. We knocked it all down so we could start with a blank slate.
After the demo was done the hard work began. We were as hands-on as possible, working closely with the architect, play structure design team, arcade specialists, and more. We even put our hard hats on (literally) and worked behind-the-scenes with our sign company.
We traveled across the country to take courses on the industry and called on family and friends to help with the heavy lifting of unboxing the arcade games upon their arrival.
And then the jungle gym was built! Which made everything feel real.
And just as we felt we were getting close to announcing an opening date, Covid hit!
It was a devastating set-back, but we had come too far to stop pushing forward. So we kept working and hoped for the best. All the while, using our own kids to test out all of the equipment and keep us company during our many late nights.
FINALLY, on May 10th, 2021, we opened our doors to the public!
